Right, Next Door Cottage. It's on Holy Island, which you get to by a causeway that floods when the tide comes in. You have to check the tide times to get on and off. It's next door to the Heritage Centre.
It sleeps six, but there are only two bedrooms. One's a double, the other has bunk beds and a double bed too, so it's a bit of a squeeze for six adults, fine for families. Two bathrooms though, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but don't expect anything flash.
The sea is just down the lane, a couple of minutes' walk. You can walk over the dunes there. The castle and the priory ruins are on the island, you can see them from the cottage. The shop and the pub are about five minutes' walk away.
You're right on the coast path for walking. Boat trips to the Farne Islands leave from Seahouses, that's about a 20 minute drive once you're off the island. You've got Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle within half an hour or so. The Northumberland National Park is inland if you fancy a change from the coast.
What's there: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's an enclosed patio garden out the back. Bedding is included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
