This is Next Door Cottage. It's on Holy Island, which is also called Lindisfarne. You get to it by the causeway, so you have to check the tide times when you arrive and when you leave. That's just how it is here.
It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
The cottage is right next to the Holy Island Heritage Centre. The sea is a couple of minutes' walk away. You can walk over the dunes from the back door. Lindisfarne Castle and the Priory ruins are a short walk away too.
There's a post office, a couple of shops, and a few pubs about five minutes walk up the road. They're basic but fine.
For days out, you can get boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses. That's about a 20 minute drive once you're off the island. You've got Bamburgh Castle up the coast, and the Northumberland National Park inland. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about 15 miles.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. The garden is enclosed. We include the bedding. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
