Bramble Barn Bamburgh

Bramble Barn is in West Mains, a little hamlet outside Bamburgh. It's stone-built, one of a few cottages converted from an old farm steading. You can't miss the view, you look out over the fields towards the sea and Holy Island.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms upstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The living room is bright, with big windows and a patio door out to the garden. There's a wood burner in the stone fireplace. It's nice to light it in the evening.

The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you bring a dog. It's a patio mostly, with a table and chairs. A simple spot to sit out.

You're about ten minutes' drive from Bamburgh itself. The beach there is huge. The castle is spectacular. Holy Island, Lindisfarne, is a short drive away too, but you must check the tide times for the causeway. The village pub is a walk away, about half a mile. It serves food.

For other days out, Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about twenty minutes south. The Northumberland Coast Path runs right along here. Further inland, you've got the Cheviot hills.

Facilities: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger, wifi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
