Bees Cottage is near Ancroft, in Northumberland. It's part of an old farmstead, the former smithy I think. It’s stone-built and looks out over open fields.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful. One bedroom and the shower room are on the ground floor. The stairs go up to the main bathroom and another kingsize bedroom.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and warm, with central heating and a wood burner. The living room has a smart TV. The kitchen is modern and has what you need. The garden at the back is enclosed and has a table and chairs. You look out over fields towards the Cheviot Hills.
The coast is about two miles away. Cheswick Sands is the nearest beach. Holy Island causeway is about four miles. You have to check the tide times for that. Northumberland National Park isn’t far if you want proper hills.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is four miles away for supermarkets. There’s a pub you can walk to. Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and the Heritage Coast are all within a half hour drive.
Facilities are all included: bed linen, towels, wifi, washing machine, parking. It’s wheelchair accessible to the ground floor. No pets.
