Upper Sandstell Point
Upper Sandstell Point is on the promenade at Spittal, right by the beach. It's one of two attached houses. It looks straight out at the sea and the coast from a big picture window in the main room.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which is fine. The bathroom has a shower.
The front has a small, sloped lawn with some garden furniture. There's no step at the front door and the main rooms are all on one level inside, so it might work for someone with limited mobility, but you'd need to check the specifics.
The house is straightforward. There's Wi-Fi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's space to store bikes.
The beach is about a minute's walk away. There's a shop and a pub about a five minute walk, and a restaurant a bit further on.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is two miles away. You can walk along the river into town, or get the bus. It has shops, pubs, restaurants, and the old town walls you can walk around. The train from there goes to Edinburgh and Newcastle.
The area is good for coast walks. The Northumberland Coast is protected. Holy Island is nearby, but you have to check the tide times to cross. You can drive to Seahouses in under half an hour and get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals.
Further in, you have Northumberland National Park for walking and they have the Dark Sky Park. There are castles like Bamburgh and Alnwick within about a 30 minute drive.
