The Parade

The Parade is a tall old house on a street in Berwick upon Tweed. It's not a cottage, it's a proper townhouse. You get the keys to the whole place. It sleeps three people in two bedrooms, and it's got two bathrooms which is handy.

It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable and has everything you need, but it's not a show home. It's an old building, so the floors aren't all level and the doors are a bit heavy. It's got character.

There's a small enclosed garden at the back. You can sit out there if the weather's good. It's got a washing machine and a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included.

Parking is on the street. We provide a parking permit for you, but spaces aren't guaranteed. There's also a public car park about a minute's walk away; we leave a disc for that for you too.

You're about a ten minute walk from the river and the old town walls. The sea and the beaches are a bit further, maybe a fifteen or twenty minute walk. It's a nice stroll down there.

Berwick itself is interesting. It's got a lot of history, with the Elizabethan walls and the old barracks. There are pubs and places to eat a short walk away. For a bigger day out, Bamburgh Castle is about half an hour's drive down the coast. Holy Island is also within half an hour, but you must check the tide times. The Northumberland coast path is right there for walking.

We accept up to two well-behaved dogs.
