Stonebank House is in Burnmouth, just on the edge of the village. It's a big detached house that sleeps ten. There are four bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one of which is downstairs by the utility room.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, warm, and functional, not luxurious. It's a good size for a family group or a few friends.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out to sea. It's not a manicured vista, it's just the bay and the water, which is nice to have with your breakfast. There's a patio and a garden that's fully enclosed.
Inside, the rooms are all decent sizes. There's a woodburning stove in the living room for cooler evenings. WiFi works fine. Everything you'd expect is here: dishwasher, washing machine, parking for a few cars. We put in a stairgate and can provide a cot and highchair. We accept up to two dogs.
Location wise, you're in the Scottish Borders but very close to Northumberland. The village of Burnmouth is tiny. There's a good pub that does food about two miles away. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Eyemouth, which is about four miles. They've got a harbour there and you can arrange boat trips. The beach at Coldingham Sands is about a ten minute drive.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is four miles south. You can walk the Elizabethan walls, get the train to Edinburgh, or find supermarkets and a few restaurants. St Abbs is a pretty fishing village a few miles north. For a day out, Holy Island is within half an hour, but you must check the tide times.
If you like walking, the Berwickshire Coastal Path runs right past the door. For golf, there's a course at Eyemouth. Horse riding can be arranged locally.
