The Embassy is a flat on the top floor of the old bank building on the High Street in Eyemouth. It's got three bedrooms, each with a kingsize bed, and three bathrooms. Two of those are en-suite. There's parking for one car at the back, which is handy.
The main thing you'll notice is the space. It's a huge room, with the kitchen at one end, the dining area in the middle, and the sitting area with a wood burner at the other end. The ceilings are very high because it used to be a bank. The dining table is a big, solid piece made from old timber and iron. It seats everyone easily.
The kitchen's well equipped. There's an American fridge freezer with an ice maker, two ovens, a dishwasher, and a wine cooler. The bedrooms all have smart TVs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's finished to a high standard.
Eyemouth itself is a working harbour. You can get boat trips from there. There are a few pubs and restaurants on the High Street, and good fish and chips, obviously. The beach and coastal path are just down the hill.
For day trips, Berwick-upon-Tweed is about 15 minutes south. Edinburgh and Newcastle are both around an hour's drive. The National Trust for Scotland has a lot of properties and gardens in the area. St Abbs Head, which is a nature reserve run by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, is about ten minutes away and good for a walk.
The facilities list is mostly accurate. It has WiFi, all the bedding and towels are included, and the parking is on site. It's not really suited to pets or young children due to the layout and furnishings. The stairs up to the flat are quite grand, but they are still stairs.
