Rock Cottage
Rock Cottage is in St Abbs. It's a one bedroom place, right on the edge of the harbour. It sleeps two.
The cottage is in the courtyard of a diving business. They run charter boats and a B&B from there. It's compact. It has a small, enclosed decking area outside the living room, right next to the rockface. You can see the harbour from every window.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxury. There's a shower, a washing machine, and towels are provided. Parking is on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You're a few minutes' walk from the village shop and a couple of cafes. For a pub or restaurant, you'd drive to Coldingham, which is about a mile and a half. The beach at Coldingham Bay is half a mile away. It's good for swimming.
The main thing here is the location. You're right in the middle of the harbour. It's good if you're into diving, or just like being by the water. The cliff top walks at St Abbs Head are excellent. You can get to St Abbs Head National Nature Reserve from the village.
If you drive, Eyemouth is five miles for more shops. Historic houses and castles like Paxton House, Manderston, Bamburgh, and Alnwick are all within a thirty minute drive.
