Beul-An-Latha is a fisherman's cottage in a terrace right in St Abbs. You look down onto the harbour. You can see the sea from most of the windows.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so comfortable and clean, not luxurious. It's an old cottage, so the rooms are cosy and the stairs are fairly steep, as you'd expect.
You can bring one dog. There's a small patio garden out the back with a BBQ.
The village is tiny and quiet. There's a little shop about a hundred yards away for basics. For a proper pub, you'll need to drive to Coldingham, which is about two miles. The beach is a five minute walk down through the paths between the houses. It's more of a pebble cove than a sandy beach.
If you're here to walk, the Berwickshire Coastal Path runs right through. St Abbs Head is the main point. It's a National Nature Reserve, run by the National Trust for Scotland. The bird colonies are spectacular. You can get boat trips from the harbour to see the cliffs and caves from the water.
Eyemouth is five miles south. It's a working fishing town with more shops and places to eat. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about fifteen miles south, over the border in England. You can get a train from there to Edinburgh or Newcastle.
Inside, it's got a woodburning stove, a TV, a washing machine, and parking for one car out front. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot in the main bedroom if you need one.
