Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is in Coldingham, on the edge of the village. It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The living room is a good size and gets a lot of light. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower. The garden is enclosed, front and back. There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights, and everything else you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The village centre is a five minute walk. There's a shop and a couple of pubs that do food. Coldingham Bay is about a twenty minute walk down the lane. It's a sandy beach, good for swimming and surfing. The coastal path runs right past it.
St Abbs is a ten minute drive. It's a fishing harbour with a good cafe. The headland there is a National Nature Reserve for the seabird colonies. The cliffs are spectacular.
If you fancy a boat trip to see puffins and seals, you can drive to Seahouses for the Farne Islands. That's about 45 minutes. Berwick-upon-Tweed is half an hour south, and you can get the train to Edinburgh from there in under an hour. There's golf at Eyemouth, and fishing on Coldingham Loch if you have a permit.
