Fairlaw Garden Cottage is in Reston, in the Scottish Borders. It's on a quiet lane, next to a working farm. You look out over fields towards the Cheviot Hills.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms, all on the ground floor. Two of the rooms have twin beds, and the main one has a kingsize bed with its own bathroom. There's another family bathroom too.
The living space is upstairs. They did it that way for the views. It's a big, open room with beams. There's a second, smaller sitting room off it if someone wants to watch something different on TV.
The garden is enclosed, with a patio and a BBQ. There's a climbing frame and swing for children. You're also welcome to use the paddock next to it for games.
It's very dark here at night, so you get a good view of the stars.
You're about a mile from the nearest pub, and a mile and a half from a shop. The coast is close. Coldingham Bay and St Abb's Head are about 15 minutes by car. For walks, you've got the Southern Upland Way and St Cuthbert's Way on the doorstep.
Edinburgh is about an hour's drive north if you fancy a day in the city. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are a bit over half an hour south, just over the border in England.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The entrance is step-free, but the main living area is upstairs, so bear that in mind.
