Seal View

Seal View is in Burnmouth. It's a terraced cottage. It looks directly out to sea from the living room window. The view is uninterrupted.

It sleeps five people. Two bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living room. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and warm, not luxurious.

The terrace garden is nice. It's paved, with good furniture. You get the seals, of course. The colony is often down on the rocks at low tide. That's where the name comes from.

There's an open fire. We leave wood for you. There's a fridge with some drinks in it when you arrive, basics like milk. We've got WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.

You can bring two dogs. The stairs inside are a bit steep.

The local pub is about a mile away. For a shop or a restaurant, you'd need to go to Eyemouth, which is about three or four miles. Eyemouth has a sandy beach too. Coldingham Bay is about six miles, good for surfers. St Abbs is close. It's a working harbour and there's a National Nature Reserve there for birdwatching.

Berwick-upon-Tweed is just over the border, about six miles. It's good for a wander, museums, and cafes. For castles, you've got places like Bamburgh and Alnwick within a half hour drive. The Northumberland Coast is right there for walking. If you want a city day, Edinburgh or Newcastle are both under an hour away by car.
