This is Foulden Hill Farm Cottage. It's on our farm just outside the village of Foulden. We farm about 200 acres here, mostly crops. The cottage has its own garden with a table and chairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The Wi-Fi can be a bit patchy sometimes because we're out in the country. We've put in a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
You're on the edge of the farm, so you can walk straight out onto the footpaths. The views from here over towards the Cheviot Hills are very good.
Eyemouth is about five miles away. That's where the harbour is and there's a sandy beach. People sometimes feed the seals there. St Abbs is a bit further, maybe eight or nine miles. It's a nice little harbour with a nature reserve. Coldingham Bay has a good beach for swimming. All of that is within a twenty minute drive.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is under ten miles. It's a proper town with shops and the old town walls. The train station is there too. You can get a train into Edinburgh in about 45 minutes, which is easier than driving in. Driving to Edinburgh city centre takes about an hour.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and we include all the bedding and towels. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
For local information, the National Parks site is useful, and so is the National Trust for Scotland if you're planning day trips.
