Foulden Hill Farm Cottage
Foulden Hill Farm Cottage is on our working farm. It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs.
The main thing is the view. You look out over our fields towards the Cheviot Hills. It's quiet. You get your own garden, which is sunny in the afternoon.
We're on a 200 acre farm. There are footpaths crossing the land you can use straight from the door. The Wi-Fi can be patchy sometimes, because we're rural. Just so you know.
The coast is about five miles away. Eyemouth has a harbour and sandy beaches. You can sometimes feed the seals there. St Abbs is a nice little harbour with a nature reserve. Coldingham Bay is good for a swim if you don't mind the North Sea being a bit bracing.
For supplies, the nearest shop and pub are in the village of Ayton, about three miles away. Berwick-upon-Tweed is under ten miles. It's a proper old town with walls. You can get a train to Edinburgh from there in under an hour, which is easier than driving in.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. We've included bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
