Ashfield is a cottage in Paxton, in the Scottish Borders. It's detached, so you've got it to yourselves. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have a dog.
All the rooms are on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms, but it's set up for a maximum of four people. Two rooms have double beds and the third is more of a day room with a single bed in it. It's good for reading or if someone wants a bit of quiet. There's one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it.
The kitchen has what you need. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean without being luxurious.
You can bring one dog. The lane outside is a bit narrow. You can park one car right outside, and there's space for another on the driveway.
There's a pub about 300 yards away. They do food. For a shop or more places to eat, you need to drive into Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is about five miles. It's a proper town with a train station. You can get to Edinburgh or Newcastle from there in under an hour.
The coast is about five miles away. Paxton House is very close. The grounds are nice for a walk and they have a tea room. For longer walks, you've got the Lammermuir Hills and the River Tweed nearby.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included.
