This is Sandstell Point. It's on the promenade in Spittal, which is right across the river from Berwick-upon-Tweed. You walk out the door and you're straight onto the promenade and the beach.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main thing is the view. Big windows looking right out over the beach, the pier, and the lighthouse. On a good day you can see Holy Island. We see dolphins and seals from there sometimes.
Spittal itself is quiet. There's a shop and a pub a few minutes walk away. Berwick town is about half an hour's walk along the promenade, or a very short drive. That's where you'll find the supermarkets, more shops, and the train station.
The Northumberland Coastal Path and the National Cycle Route go right past the door. You can walk for miles. Northumberland Coast AONB has good information. Alnwick Castle is about half an hour's drive south. For a bigger day out, Edinburgh or Newcastle are about 45 minutes on the train from Berwick.
As for the place itself: it's all on the ground floor. There's a small enclosed patio area, parking, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're a bigger group, we also have Upper Sandstell Point next door. You can book them together.
