Sandstell Point is on the promenade in Spittal, just across the river from Berwick. It's a first-floor flat in a three-storey building. You walk straight out onto the promenade. The windows are big and look right over the beach and the pier. On a good day you can see Holy Island. We see dolphins and seals sometimes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. Everything is on one level, which is handy. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Spittal itself is quiet. There's a shop and a couple of pubs a few minutes' walk away. The beach is sandy and right there. There's a play park and a splash park for kids just along the front.
Berwick is about a half hour walk along the promenade, or a very short drive. It's a proper old town with walls you can walk around, some ruins, and the usual high street shops. The train station is there. You can get a train to Edinburgh or Newcastle in under an hour.
For walking, the Northumberland Coastal Path goes right past the building. You can walk for miles. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about a 25 minute drive south. The Scottish borders are a short drive north. The Northumberland National Park is about a 40 minute drive inland.
The flat has a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a parking space. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you want to book for a bigger group, you can rent this flat together with the one upstairs.
