4 Murton Whitehouse Steading is one of six cottages in a converted farmstead. It's U-shaped, all grouped around a shared courtyard. You get your own private garden.
The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, including the biggest one with its own shower room. There's another separate shower room down there too. Upstairs is the main living room and the third bedroom, with the main bathroom.
It's a rural spot. There's a riding school about a hundred yards away. The pub is two miles off. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about three miles away. It's a historic town with the Elizabethan walls you can walk around. It has a good few restaurants and pubs.
The coast is about three miles. There are some lovely beaches along this bit of Northumberland. Bamburgh Castle is about half an hour's drive north. Holy Island, or Lindisfarne, is a bit further but you can drive over at low tide. The Cheviot Hills are close for walking. The Scottish border is five miles away, and the coastal village of Eyemouth is less than twenty minutes by car. Edinburgh and Newcastle are both around sixty miles, so about an hour and a half in the car.
For facilities, it has a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. It's wheelchair accessible to the entrance. They allow up to two pets.
