Whiteadder Cottage is a lower apartment in Spittal, just on the edge of Berwick upon Tweed. It's a few minutes walk from Spittal Beach. You get the back garden to yourselves. It's enclosed with a wall, which is good if it's windy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The main bedroom is a double. The second room has beds that can be two singles or zipped together for a double, but I think it's better as twins. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and works fine. The kitchen and bathroom were done recently.
The living area is open plan with a wood burner. It's a practical space.
The local pub is about a ten minute walk. The beach is even closer. It's a good, wide sandy beach for walking.
Berwick town centre is about a mile and a half along the coast path. You can walk it along the front. It's a proper old town with walls you can walk around. There are shops and places to eat there.
For days out, Holy Island is about a 20 minute drive, but you have to check the tide times. The Northumberland coast is all there for walking. Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Garden are both within half an hour by car. Edinburgh is about an hour's drive up the A1, Newcastle about the same south.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, and all bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
