The Old Farmhouse is in Ancroft, Northumberland. It's set back from a country lane. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves.
It sleeps nine, in five bedrooms. There are five bathrooms, so nobody's queueing. Two en-suites. One of the rooms is a family room with a double and two singles, and there's a separate single room. It has a 4 Star rating.
There are two sitting rooms downstairs. One has an open fire. The kitchen is big, with a large table in the middle. French doors go out to the garden. There's also a conservatory at the back with good views, and a downstairs shower room.
The garden is enclosed by a stone wall. It's landscaped, with seating and a water feature. There's a hot tub. The views from the garden are over fields with sheep and cattle.
Ancroft is a small village. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about five miles away. It's got shops, places to eat, and a castle. The coast is close, with several beaches within a short drive.
Bamburgh is about a 25 minute drive south. The castle is huge and the beach is very good. For a longer day out, Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is accessible via the causeway, depending on the tide times.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on site. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance.
