Dowie House Steading is in Haggerston in Northumberland. It's an old stone farm building that's been done up. You're surrounded by fields, but the main A1 road is right there, so you can get places easily.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Both bedrooms are good sized doubles. One has a kingsize bed. The other can be either a single or a superking, it's one of those pull-out beds underneath. The bathroom is big and has a bath with a shower over it.
The main room is open plan. There's a wood burner for colder nights. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. Doors go out to a bit of decking and the garden.
You're about a mile from the beach. It's the proper Northumberland coast with sand dunes and long sandy beaches. The nearest shop is about four miles. There's a pub and restaurant about five miles away.
You can be at the beach in minutes. Holy Island is a short drive up the coast. Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle are both within half an hour. If you want to go further, the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh are about an hour and a half's drive.
