Mapleleaf is a bungalow in Beadnell. It’s single storey, all on the ground floor. It’s got one bedroom and one bathroom, so it’s just for two people. The rating is 4 Star, which means it’s been recently refurbished to a good standard.
The layout is open plan. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with grab rails. There’s a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a TV in the living area and one in the bedroom. Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is included in the price. You can bring one dog.
There’s a private, enclosed garden at the back with a patio. It gets the sun in the morning, which is nice for breakfast.
Beadnell itself is a small coastal village. You can walk to the beach and the bay in a few minutes. The village has a shop, a couple of cafes, and a pub. The pub does food.
Seahouses is two miles up the road. That’s where you get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seals and puffins. Bamburgh Castle is about ten minutes’ drive north. It’s on a big beach, you can’t miss it. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about twenty minutes inland.
Further up the coast, you can drive over to Holy Island, but you must check the tide times for the causeway. The whole coastline is good for walking. It’s part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
