Captain Ron's

Captain Ron's is in Beadnell, Northumberland. It's in a little block of holiday lets, but you get your own front door and parking spot right outside.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, a double and a twin. There's one bathroom with a shower. Everything's open plan downstairs, which makes it feel quite light.

The beach at Beadnell Bay is about a five minute walk. It's a huge sandy beach, good for a run or flying a kite. You see a lot of people with surfboards or kites there. The village shop and a couple of pubs are about ten minutes walk away. They're fine for basics and a decent meal.

Seahouses is two miles up the road. That's where the main shops are, and the boat trips leave from the harbour to go out to the Farne Islands. It's brilliant for seeing puffins and seals. Bamburgh is another three miles on, with its massive castle right on the coast.

Further inland you've got Alnwick Castle and its gardens. If you like books, Alnwick has Barter Books, which is a famous second-hand bookshop in the old railway station.

Inside, you've got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and all your bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. No pets, sorry.
