This place is called Coastal Retreat, but really it's just a bungalow in Beadnell. It's detached, which is good, so you've got your own garden around it. It's all on one level.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a woodburning stove for the winter evenings, which works well.
You're right in the village, so things are close. The beach is a short walk, maybe five minutes. The shop is a couple of minutes away, and the pub and a restaurant are about the same. It's handy.
Beadnell Bay is good. The beach is big and sandy. People go surfing there, or just for swimming. It's a proper beach.
Seahouses is just up the road, maybe ten minutes by car. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands. It's worth doing if you like birds or seals. They do fish and chips there too.
Bamburgh is the other way, about ten minutes. You can see the castle from the coast road. It's big. You can visit it, it's an English Heritage site.
Alnwick is about half an hour inland. The castle is there, and the Alnwick Garden. It's a nice town for a wander.
For facilities, you've got parking right there, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. There's a kids' play area on site but I don't know how fancy it is. Sorry, no pets.
