Coastal Retreat
It's called Coastal Retreat and it's in Beadnell. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level which is handy. Detached as well, so no shared walls. You've got your own enclosed garden out the back with a patio area.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, which works well. TV, WiFi, and a washing machine are all there. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site.
You're a five minute walk from the beach. Beadnell Bay is good for swimming and surfing. The village shop is about the same walk, and there's a pub and a restaurant just down the road.
Seahouses is the next village along, about a mile. They've got more shops, fish and chips, and the boat trips to the Farne Islands leave from there. It's worth a trip out to see the seals and puffins. Bamburgh Castle is about three miles up the coast. You can see it from the beach.
Alnwick is half an hour's drive inland. Alnwick Castle and the gardens are there if that's your sort of thing. For walking, the Northumberland Coast Path runs right past.
