Dovecoat Cottage

Dovecote Cottage is in Embleton. It's a mid-terrace cottage, so you've got neighbours either side. Everything's on the ground floor apart from two steps up to the front door.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is attached to the main bedroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable, nothing too fancy.

There's an old range cooker in the living area. It's a feature, you can't really use it. The back garden is enclosed. It's got an old dovecote in it, which is where the name comes from.

You can see the sea from the front, across the fields. It's about a mile's walk to the beach. Embleton beach is very good, it won an award recently.

The village has a shop and pubs that do food. All within a few minutes' walk. Beadnell Bay is a short drive north if you're into watersports. Seahouses is a couple of miles up the coast. Boats to the Farne Islands go from there. It's worth a trip if you like seabirds.

Alnwick is about eight miles inland. The castle and gardens are there. The garden is a big attraction.

For facilities, you've got a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. You can bring two dogs.
