Bramble Cottage is in Craster, right at the end of a terrace. It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen connects to a separate dining room through a serving hatch. It's a proper cottage layout.
The garden is nice and private, full of shrubs, with a patio and a summer house. You get one parking space on the private drive. If you bring more than one car, or have visitors, they'll need to use the public car park. It's about 220 yards away and costs £6.50 per day. It gets busy in summer. That's just how it is here, parking is tight.
You're about 200 yards from the sea. The shop, the pub, and the restaurant are about 150 yards away. The Jolly Fisherman pub does food. Craster is famous for its kippers.
From the harbour you can see Dunstanburgh Castle ruins up the coast. The walk to it along the coast path is good. Embleton Bay is three miles north, it's a great sandy beach. Seahouses is about six miles, that's where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. Bamburgh with its castle is a bit further on.
Alnwick is about seven miles inland. The castle is there and so is Alnwick Garden, which has the big treehouse.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. You can bring up to three dogs. There's a BBQ in the garden.
