Grey Croft is a detached stone house in Christon Bank. It's a village, really. Quiet. The house is big and square, built of the local stone. It's not fancy, but it's solid. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one on each floor.
Downstairs there are two sitting rooms, both with gas fires. The kitchen is at the back. It's a proper kitchen with a table. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. You can park three cars on the drive.
The local pub is a few minutes walk away. They do food. For a shop, you need to go to Embleton, which is about two miles. That's also where the nearest good beach is. Embleton Bay is a long, sandy beach. It's never crowded.
Up the coast, Craster is famous for kippers. Seahouses is the place for boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. You can book that at the harbour. Alnwick is about twenty minutes inland. The castle is there, and the Alnwick Garden is worth a visit. They've got that big treehouse.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's clean. We include all the bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
