Snowshill is near Alnwick. It's a single-storey cottage, so everything's on one level. That makes it easier if stairs are a problem.

The cottage has its own enclosed garden with a patio and table. It's quiet. You're surrounded by fields.
You're two miles from Alnwick. The town has the castle and Alnwick Garden. There's a big bookshop in the old station called Barter Books, with fires and a cafe.
The coast is about six miles east. Alnmouth has a good beach and places to eat. Craster is known for kippers, and you can walk from there to Dunstanburgh Castle. All that coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
To the west, you've got the Cheviot Hills. Good walking country. You can be on a beach or in the hills in under half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
