Joellen Cottage
Joellen Cottage is on the main street in the middle of Alnwick. It's a stone terraced house, so you've got neighbours on one side. You can park right outside.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. One has its own shower room, and there's another family bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been properly looked after. The stairs are quite narrow. You get used to it.
There's a local shop about 200 yards away, and a pub even closer. Both are useful. The town has what you need: supermarkets, a few restaurants, a cinema.
Alnwick Castle is a five-minute walk. It's the main thing here. You might know it from the Harry Potter films. The Alnwick Garden is next to it, which is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden have all the details.
The coast is about four miles east at Alnmouth. It's a nice village with a big sandy beach, a couple of pubs, and a golf course. Good for a walk.
From there, you're on the Northumberland Coast. It's all very open. Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle are about a fifteen-minute drive north. Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses are maybe half an hour. You can get boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses.
Inside the cottage, there's a washing machine, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
