This is Wagtail Cottage in Lesbury. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row of four. They were built for farm workers originally. It's a quiet spot in the middle of the village.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside so it's comfortable and warm. There's a patio out the back with a table and chairs. It's enclosed, so it's private.
The stairs are standard cottage stairs. They're not a problem, but they're steeper than in a modern house.
You can walk to the coast from here. It's about two miles along the river to Alnmouth village. It's a nice walk. Alnmouth has a good sandy beach, some pubs, and a few shops. The beach is dog friendly.
Alnwick Castle is about four miles inland. It's the big one you see on TV. The gardens are massive. Alnwick Castle is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. Warkworth village is close too, with its castle ruins and river walks.
Further along the coast, Craster is about a twenty minute drive. You can walk from there to Dunstanburgh Castle along the coast path. It's a good walk. Dunstanburgh Castle is National Trust.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive at the front.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which helps. The local pub is a couple of minutes' walk away. They serve food.
