Coquet Cottage is in Amble, Northumberland. It's a mid-terrace cottage, a couple of minutes' walk from the little beach and the harbour.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The street is residential, so you get the usual comings and goings. You can park on the street outside.
The beach is pebbly and sand when the tide's out. There's a row of colourful beach huts. The harbour is a working one, so you see the fishing boats coming and going. There are a couple of good fish and chip shops right there, and an ice cream place. The Sunday market is popular.
For a bigger beach, Druridge Bay is about a ten minute drive south. It's a long, sandy beach and part of a country park. Northumberland Coast AONB has information on the area.
Warkworth is a nice walk along the estuary, about two miles. The castle dominates the village. There are pubs and cafes there.
Alnwick Castle is about a twenty minute drive. It's the Duke of Northumberland's home and was used in the Harry Potter films. The town has cobbled streets and good shops. Further up the coast, you have Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. Remember to check the tide times for Holy Island.
Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a small patio garden out the back.
