Kittiwakes is a terraced house on a quiet street in Amble. It's a twenty minute walk from the harbour or a couple of minutes in the car. You can hear the gulls sometimes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which it deserves. It's well looked after.
Everything you need is included. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. There's an enclosed yard at the back with a table and chairs. It's not huge, but it gets the sun in the evening.
The town is small and friendly. The Fish Shack on the harbour is good. There's a decent supermarket, a couple of chippies, and a proper local pub about five minutes walk away.
From the harbour you can get boat trips out to Coquet Island to see the puffins and other seabirds. The beach here is okay, but if you want a long walk, Druridge Bay is just south of the town. It's a big, empty beach.
Warkworth is two miles down the road. It's worth a look, nice castle and a river walk. Alnwick is about fifteen minutes by car. The castle is the main thing, and the gardens are impressive. They've got that big treehouse.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The National Trust looks after a lot of the castles and beaches up here. Craster for kippers, Bamburgh for the castle, Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands. All within half an hour.
We accept up to two dogs. There's a highchair and bike storage if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
