Herons Rest

Herons Rest is in Hadston, about a twenty minute walk from Druridge Bay beach. It's a small bungalow, sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom.

The back garden is enclosed. It's got a lawn and a patio area, good for sitting out.

The place has a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level, so the entrance and doorways are wheelchair friendly. There's parking right outside.

Hadston village has a shop, a post office, and a couple of takeaways. Druridge Country Park is just down the road. Good for a walk or a cycle, and popular with birdwatchers.

The beach is a proper Northumberland beach. Long, sandy, and often quiet. You can walk for miles.

Amble is about a ten minute drive north. It's a small harbour town with shops, cafes, and a market on Sundays. Warkworth is just a bit further, with its castle up on the hill.

If you fancy a day out, Alnwick is fifteen minutes inland. The castle is there, and the Alnwick Garden. Further up the coast you've got Craster for kippers, then Seahouses and Bamburgh. Holy Island is about a forty minute drive, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway.

For a different day, you can drive to Hadrian's Wall in under an hour.

Facilities: Wifi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a BBQ in the garden.
