This is Drifters, in Amble. It's a first-floor apartment on the main road through town, built in 1820. It was a pub originally, the first one in Amble. We've done it up now, so it's fresh and comfortable.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating. There's private parking for one car round the back, and you can lock up bikes or motorbikes there too.
You're right in the middle of things here. The harbour, shops, pubs, and a few restaurants are a five-minute walk. The harbour has a good Sunday market. There are two decent fish and chip shops right there if you want that. You can get boat trips from the harbour out to Coquet Island to see the puffins.
The stairs up to the apartment are fairly steep, just so you know. It's on the roadside, so you will hear some traffic, but it's generally quiet at night.
For days out, Warkworth village is a mile away. It's got a massive castle. Alnwick is about a 15-minute drive. That's got the famous castle and the Alnwick Gardens. Up the coast, Seahouses is where you get the boats to the Farne Islands. Bamburgh is a bit further, with its huge castle on the beach.
The place has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. No pets, I'm afraid.
