Harbour Walk is our place in Amble. It's a terraced house on a street near the harbour. You can see the harbour from the back upstairs window.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've been refurbishing it bit by bit over the last few years. The living room has a brick fireplace and a smart TV on the wall.
There's a small yard at the back with a gate. Parking is on the street out the front, which is usually fine.
It's about a five minute walk to everything. The harbour, the shops, the pubs. There's a good ice cream place and a fish and chip shop. The Sunday market is popular. You can book boat trips from the harbour to see the puffins on Coquet Island.
You can walk to Warkworth along the river path in about half an hour. The castle there is English Heritage. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a fifteen minute drive. They're worth a visit.
The beach is a ten minute walk. It's long and sandy. For walking, you're right on the edge of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape. The Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall are about an hour's drive inland.
Facilities: it has wifi, a washing machine, and an enclosed yard. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
