Harbour Walk

Harbour Walk is a terraced cottage in Amble. It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

It's on a street, so you park right outside on a first-come basis. There's a small, gated yard out the back with a block paved area. It's not a garden, but it's a spot to sit out.

Inside, it's been refurbed over the last few years. The living room, dining room, and the smaller bedroom were done in 2021. The main bedroom was done in 2022. They've kept the brick fireplace in the living room as a feature. There's a smart TV on the wall. Everything is clean and works.

Location is the main thing. You're a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour and the town square. There's a shop about 600 yards away. The pub and a restaurant are even closer, about 500 yards. You can easily leave the car.

Amble itself is a working harbour town. There's a good Sunday market. The fish restaurants by the quay are popular. You can get boat trips from the harbour over to Coquet Island to see the puffins and other birds. It's an RSPB sanctuary.

A nice walk up the coast path takes you to Warkworth, which is about a mile and a half. It's a pretty village with a castle on the hill. You can drive there in five minutes if you'd rather. Alnwick with its castle and gardens is about a 15 minute drive. That's the one used in Harry Potter.

The Northumberland coast is right there. The beach is about half a mile away. It's all part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For a longer day out, Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall are within an hour's drive. Newcastle is about 40 minutes by car.

Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The yard is enclosed.
