Valhallah Cottage Retreat

This is Valhallah Cottage Retreat. It's a detached bungalow in South Broomhill, Northumberland. The name is a bit grand, but it's just a straightforward, modern cottage. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4-star rating.

It's all on one level, which is useful. There's a wet room with a walk-in shower. The kitchen has reclaimed wood and some industrial-style fittings, which looks nice. It's open plan. You get a Smart TV and there are TVs in the bedrooms too.

Outside, there's a covered patio area and a hot tub. The hot tub looks out over the fields at the back. There's parking right there.

Location wise, it's set back from the road. Amble is about three miles away. It's a small harbour town with cafes and fish and chip shops. They have a Sunday market. Warkworth is four miles. The castle is up on the hill there, and the village has some nice pubs and tea rooms.

Alnwick is about a twenty-minute drive. You've got Alnwick Castle and the gardens. Further up the coast, you've got Craster for kippers, and places like Bamburgh and Holy Island. All of that is within about half an hour.

In terms of facilities, it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. The electricity is part of the price. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. Sorry, no pets.

If you're looking for walks or days out, the Northumberland Coast site is useful, as is the National Trust page for the area.
