Wayside

Wayside is in Amble, about a five-minute walk from the harbour and the high street. It's a terraced house. You get a little garden at the front and a back yard.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. It's been done up nicely. The stairs are normal.

It's triple glazed, so it's quiet inside even with the harbour nearby. We leave coffee, biscuits, and milk for you when you arrive. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.

The kitchen is a good size. The living room leads straight into it, which is handy.

You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Amble is a small fishing town. There are a few pubs and restaurants on the harbour, and a decent fish and chip shop. You can rent beach huts from the harbour master. It's a good base.

Warkworth is two miles south. It's a nice walk along the river to the castle. The beach there is huge.

Alnwick is about a fifteen-minute drive. The castle and the gardens are worth a visit. The treehouse restaurant there is quite something.

Going north, Seahouses is about twenty minutes away. That's where the boats leave for the Farne Islands. Bamburgh is a bit further on. The castle there is massive, right on the beach.
