Buttercup Lodge

This is Buttercup Lodge. It is detached, on our grounds in North Togston.

It sleeps two people in one bedroom. The bathroom is right next to it. It has a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It is clean, it works, and it is not complicated.

The main thing is the view. There is nothing between you and the fields all the way to Warkworth Castle. You can see it from the front windows. The garden is enclosed and private. There is a patio area out front with a chimnea, which is nice in the evening.

You are two miles from Amble. It is a working harbour. They do boat trips out to Coquet Island from there. The town has a sandy beach, a Sunday market, and good fish and chips. The Druridge Bay country park is a short drive away.

You are well placed for the coast. Craster is famous for kippers. You can walk from there along the cliffs to Dunstanburgh Castle. Alnwick is a few miles inland. The castle there is the one used in Harry Potter.

From the lodge, you can get to Hadrian's Wall, the Northumberland National Park, and the coast quite easily within an hour.

As for the place itself: It is all on the ground floor. There is a dishwasher, a TV, and WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There is a cot and a highchair in the cupboard if you need them.

A couple of useful links if you are planning: the Visit Northumberland site and the Northumberland Coast AONB page.
