Jubilee House

Jubilee House is my place in Alnwick. It’s an old coach house, from the 1830s, so it's Grade II listed. You're right in the middle of the town.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The finish is quite nice, like a boutique hotel, but it still feels like a house. It works for a weekend or a week.

The front door is step-free and the downstairs is open plan, which might be useful. The stairs inside are the original ones, so they're a bit steep and narrow. That's just how it is.

Everything in Alnwick is a short walk. There's a shop, pubs, and restaurants about 300 yards away. Alnwick Castle is famous for Harry Potter. The Alnwick Garden is really something, with its big water features and a treehouse café.

From here, you can get to the coast in about 15 minutes. Beaches like Alnmouth are just down the road. Heading inland, you've got Rothbury and Cragside, which is a National Trust house with amazing gardens. The Cheviot hills are about a 30 minute drive if you want proper walking.

For facilities, it's got parking, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.

If you're planning trips, the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland Coast AONB sites are useful.
