Hillcroft is a terraced cottage in the middle of Alnwick. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are standard for a cottage, so they're a bit steep.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring two. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV and WiFi.
You're right in the town. The pub is about 200 yards away. Alnwick Castle is very close, it's a five minute walk. They used it for some of the Harry Potter films. The Alnwick Garden is there too, with its big treehouse restaurant and water features.
If you drive for about ten minutes east, you get to Alnmouth. It's a nice village with a big sandy beach. Head north for about twenty minutes and you're in Seahouses. You can get boat trips from there out to the Farne Islands to see the birds and seals. Bamburgh Castle is a bit further up that coast, it's very impressive.
To the west, it's about a twenty minute drive to Rothbury. It's a town on the River Coquet, good for walking into the Simonside Hills.
