Dipper Cottage
Dipper Cottage is in Seahouses. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row of old fisherman's houses. It's about a three minute walk to the harbour.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean and well looked after. It's open plan downstairs, with the kitchen leading into the living and dining area. There's a wood burner, which is useful. It can get windy here.
There's a pub about fifty yards from the front door. Shops and places to eat are a couple of minutes walk. The beach is a five minute walk.
The big thing here is the boat trips from the harbour out to the Farne Islands. You see the puffins and seals. It's worth booking. Bamburgh Castle is two miles up the road. The beach there is huge. Holy Island is visible from the coast, but you need to check the tide times to drive over.
If you like walking, the Northumberland Coast Path goes right past. Beadnell Bay is two miles south for watersports. Alnwick and its castle are about a twenty minute drive inland. The Alnwick Garden is there too.
Facilities: you've got parking right outside, a washing machine, wifi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
