Dipper Cottage
Dipper Cottage is in Seahouses, on the Northumberland coast. It's a mid-terraced house, the old sort that fishermen used to live in. You can walk to the harbour from here in a few minutes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a wood burning stove in the living room, which is open plan with the kitchen. It's compact, but it works.
The stairs are quite steep, as you'd expect. There's parking for one car out the back.
There's a pub about 50 yards away. The shop and other places to eat are a couple of hundred yards in the other direction, towards the harbour.
From the harbour, you can get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seals and puffins. That's a good day out. Bamburgh Castle is two miles up the road. The beach there is huge. Holy Island is viewable from there too, but you have to check the tide times to drive over.
If you like walking, the beach at Beadnell Bay is about two miles south. It's good for watersports. Inland, Alnwick is about a twenty minute drive. The castle is there, and Alnwick Garden is popular.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
