This is Shawdon Hill Coach House, out near Glanton. It's a single-storey place, which people find handy. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
It was built in 1833, so it's old, but it's been done up inside. The main room is all open plan. The kitchen's fine for cooking. There's underfloor heating, which is good in winter. The wood burner works well. The bedroom is a decent size with a kingsize bed, and the window looks straight out into the garden.
The garden is completely enclosed, which is good for the dog. It's mostly lawn with some trees and a gravel bit with a table. It looks out over fields. You'll see rabbits and birds out there.
The local pub is about half a mile away. It's a proper walkable distance. The shop is in Glanton, about a mile and a half.
You're right by the A697 here. That means you can get to places easily. Alnwick with the castle and gardens is about 15 minutes' drive. Rothbury and Cragside are about the same. The coast at places like Bamburgh or Alnmouth is roughly half an hour away.
If you like walking, you're on the edge of the Cheviot hills. You can also drive up to the Simonside hills near Rothbury. It's very dark at night, so you get a good view of the stars.
Inside, you've got the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
