Granary Cottage is up in Whittingham, near Alnwick. It's a ground floor conversion in a big old country house. You're in a private courtyard with a view over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One is a king with an en-suite on the ground floor, which is handy. The other is a twin room upstairs. There's another shower room downstairs too, so two bathrooms in total.
It says you can take one dog. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.
It's quiet here. You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. It's good walking country. The coast isn't far. Alnwick is about six miles for shops and the castle garden. National Trust North East has a lot of the local places, like Cragside.
For a day out, you can drive up to Bamburgh or across to Holy Island in about half an hour, depending on the tides. The link for tide times is on the Northumberland County Council site.
Inside, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. It's rated 4 Star.
