You're in the middle of the Northumberland National Park. For a shop or a pub, you need to drive. The nearest are about nine miles away in Rothbury.
Rothbury is a nice spot, about nine miles. There's a couple of pubs, shops, and a riverside golf course. Cragside, the National Trust house, is just outside Rothbury. It's worth a visit. National Trust Cragside.
Alnwick with the castle and the gardens is about 14 miles. The coast, like Craster or Bamburgh, is under half an hour's drive. The Northumberland National Park site has walking routes.
It's got a washing machine, parking, and bedding is included. The garden is enclosed. Pets are welcome.
