Grooms Cottage Whittingham

Grooms Cottage is in Whittingham. It's a one-bedroom place for two people, part of an old stable block that's been done up. You've got your own enclosed garden and patio area out the front. It looks out over fields towards the Cheviot hills.

It's got a 4 Star Gold rating, so it's pretty well finished. There's a wood burner in the living room. The bedroom has a four-poster bed. The bathroom is ensuite and has both a roll-top bath and a separate shower.

It's very quiet here. You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. For a pint or some basics, the village of Whittingham is about a mile away. Alnwick is the main town, about a 15-minute drive. That's where you'll find the big supermarket, a few more shops, and Alnwick Castle.

The coast at Alnmouth or Boulmer is about 20 minutes by car. If you want to go further, the castles at Warkworth or Dunstanburgh are about half an hour away. Same for Cherryburn, the National Trust property.

Facilities wise: there's parking right outside the cottage, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
