New Bakery is on the edge of Powburn. It's a new-built cottage, part of a small group. The stonework looks nice.
It sleeps four. Has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The main one has an en-suite. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. Everything works.
The lounge has patio doors that open out to a small, enclosed garden. It’s a sun trap in the afternoon. You can sit out there.
Powburn itself is quiet. There's a village shop about five minutes' walk away. The nearest pub is in the next village, about a mile and a half down the road.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Walking starts pretty much from the door. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is about a twenty-minute drive. The coast at Alnmouth or Craster is about half an hour. For a bigger day out, you can get to Bamburgh Castle or Holy Island in under forty-five minutes.
It has parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding is included. No pets.
