The Croft is a single-storey cottage near Longhorsley. No stairs inside, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner in the living room, which has a high ceiling. The kitchen looks out onto the back garden, which is a decent size. You might see pheasants or rabbits out there.
Longhorsley has a village shop and a pub, both are walkable. Longframlington is about three miles away, it's got a good café and a couple of pubs that do food.
Rothbury is about eight miles north. It's a nice little town for a wander, with a few shops and places to eat by the river. Cragside House is there, which is a National Trust property. It's interesting, the first house lit by hydroelectricity. The National Trust page for Cragside has all the details for visiting.
For walking, the Simonside Hills are close to Rothbury. Alnwick with its castle is about a 20 minute drive. The Northumberland coast, like Alnmouth or Warkworth, is roughly half an hour away.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. The bedding and towels are included. It says it's pet friendly and takes up to two dogs. There's a garden and a golf course nearby at Linden Hall.
