This is Longlands. It's on a big estate called Doxford, not far from Embleton. It's a conversion from some old farm buildings. The main thing is the space. You get the cottage and your own separate games room about thirty yards away.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one king size with an en-suite shower room, and one twin. There's another bathroom downstairs with a bath. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and has everything you'd need. The kitchen is big and has a table in it. The living room has a wood burner and logs are provided. Doors from there go out to a private patio that faces south, so you get the sun. It looks out over trees towards a lake.
The games room has a big TV, an air hockey table, and a football table. Outside on the estate there's a kids' playground with swings and a slide, a football area, and an indoor sports barn with soft play. The Doxford Lake is a five-minute walk away, it's very quiet. You can walk to Doxford Hall as well, if you wanted a meal or to use the spa.
Location wise, Embleton beach is about ten minutes in the car. It's a good, wide sandy beach. Craster and Seahouses are close too for crab sandwiches or a boat trip. Bamburgh Castle is up the coast, maybe twenty minutes. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about half an hour's drive inland. Holy Island is a bit further, maybe forty minutes, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway.
There's a pub about a mile away. The estate is off the A1, so it's straightforward to get to from Newcastle or Edinburgh.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
