The Hemmel is in Christon Bank. It's a cottage in a small group, surrounded by farmland. The views are good, very open and rural.
It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms and a family bathroom are on the ground floor. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are standard for a cottage.
You've got a wood burner in the living room, which is large and beamed. The kitchen is a decent size for a group. Outside is a lawned garden with some shrubs. It looks out over the fields.
The village pub is under a mile away. Embleton is about two miles east. That's where you'll find the shop and a good, sandy beach. Craster is another three miles along the coast. You can walk from there along the cliffs to Dunstanburgh Castle. It's a well-known walk. The boat trips to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals leave from Seahouses, which is a bit further north.
Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 20-minute drive. They used it for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. There's also a big new play area there for kids called Lilidorei.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
