Coach House

The Coach House is on the Doxford Estate, near Embleton. It's a big Victorian building they converted a while back. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star Gold rating, so it's a step up. Everything's new and it's kept very clean.

You come in through a big hall. The main living room has a wood burner, and logs are included. There are two big arched windows that open out onto a private terrace. It faces south, so you get the sun. The view is over some woods and Doxford Lake.

The kitchen has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher. There's a utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs, one superking bedroom has an en-suite shower, and a double bedroom has its own TV and en-suite shower too. The two twin rooms share the main bathroom.

The main thing for kids, or really for anyone, is the separate games room. It's a big detached building with a huge TV, table football, and air hockey. Outside, there's a playground with swings and a slide, a trampoline, and a football area. There's also an indoor sports court with soft play, which is useful if the weather turns.

The lake is a couple of minutes' walk away. It's very peaceful. You can also walk up to Doxford Hall if you fancy using their spa or having a meal.

Location-wise, you're about ten minutes from Embleton Beach. It's a really good beach, lots of sand and dunes. Bamburgh Castle and its beach are about twenty minutes north. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are maybe twenty-five minutes south. The fishing villages like Craster and Seahouses are a short drive away.

Facilities include all the bedding and towels, a cot and highchair, parking, and Wi-Fi. There's a BBQ too. No pets, sorry.
