Doxford Dairy

Doxford Dairy is on the Doxford Estate near Embleton. It's a converted dairy building. It's detached and you've got your own space.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy and means no queues. Two of the rooms are superking beds, one's a twin. It's a 5 Star Gold property, so it's very well finished and equipped.

The main thing is the space. There's a big living room with a wood burner and logs are provided. The glass wall opens right out onto a south-facing terrace. The kitchen has everything you'd need and a dining table.

For things to do, there's a separate games room with a big TV, air hockey and a football table. Outside on the estate there's a playground, a trampoline, and a football field. There's also an indoor sports court with soft play for kids. The estate lake is a short walk away. You can walk to Doxford Hall for their spa or a meal.

For beaches, Embleton Bay is award-winning and very close. Bamburgh Beach with the castle is about a 15 minute drive. Beadnell and Alnmouth are also nearby. Newton by the Sea has a National Trust beach.

For castles, Alnwick Castle is the big one, about 20 minutes away. Dunstanburgh Castle is a good walk from Craster. You can drive to Bamburgh Castle. Holy Island is about 40 minutes, but you must check the tide times for the causeway.

Facilities: all the usual like wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. Pets are allowed, up to two. They provide a cot and highchair.
