Doxford House is on the Doxford Estate, near Embleton. It's the biggest place on the estate, used to be the farmhouse. Sleeps eight.
It's got four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have their own bathroom. It's a 5 Star Gold place, which means it's well-finished and everything should work.
There are three sitting rooms. One's a proper drawing room with a wood burner and doors to the terrace. One's a TV room. The other is a garden room that looks out over the woods and the lake. The kitchen is big and has a table for eight.
The main thing is the Games Barn. It's a separate building with a big TV, air hockey, table football, and space for badminton or basketball. Outside, there's a kids' playground with swings and a slide, a football area, and a trampoline. There's also an indoor soft play area for bad weather. The estate lake is a short walk away.
Location wise, Embleton Bay is very close. It's a good, sandy beach. Bamburgh Castle and beach are about a fifteen minute drive. Craster, for the kippers and the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle, is about ten minutes. Seahouses is similar. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are roughly twenty minutes away by car. The causeway to Holy Island is about half an hour's drive, but you must check the tide times.
